Press-on nails are one of the most popular nail products on the market, and for good reason – you can get the look of a professional salon-applied acrylic nail without breaking the bank. Additionally, press-on nails can be reused if you apply and remove them correctly, saving you even more money and letting you rock the same look again. With some caution and patience, you’ll be able to remove press-on nails without damaging them or your actual nail and can reuse your favorite styles.

Removing press-on nails correctly To correctly remove press-on nails you’ll want to avoid harsh chemicals like acetone, as they’ll dissolve the fake nail and prevent you from reusing them. You’ll also want to try and not use excessive force when pulling the press-on nails off so they don’t break. To remove press-on nails without damaging them you’ll need to create your own solution by mixing together a small amount of body wash and oil with warm water. Soak your nails inside this mixture for 10-15 minutes and then you’ll be able to gently wriggle the press-on nails off.

Applying press-on nails To make the removal process even easier you should use a weaker glue or adhesive during the application process. If you prefer nail glue for press on nails, I suggest investing in an inexpensive electric nail file so you can gently buff away any built up glue on the back of the nails to clean up before you reuse it. Nails adhesive tabs are a great alternative to glue and will work just as well without the mess or left-over gunk. Getting high-quality press-on nails will also help make them more reusable – the higher quality the product the longer it’ll last – and at Ludicc I have some of the highest quality press-ons you can find.
